Skin Rejuvenation Treatments
Aside from being the largest organ of the human body, your skin is remarkably tough. Even so, the signs of age, sun damage, and genetic predispositions stack up over the years. Unsightly blemishes and fine lines/wrinkles often make us appear older than we feel. But despite their outsized presence on the skin, blemishes and wrinkles aren’t permanent. What one form of light damages or causes, another form of light may wipe away.
Paragould Plastic’s skin rejuvenation treatments have entered the 21st century in a big way. Laser technology is leading the charge against signs of aging skin. Intense pulsed light therapy (IPL) uses focused wavelengths of light to break up uneven pigmentation in the skin, leading to a smoother, more consistent complexion. Meanwhile, laser skin resurfacing exfoliates the skin while improving the production of elastin and collagen—two key components of the skin’s natural healing properties.
Benefits of Skin Rejuvenation

Skin Rejuvenation FAQ
Yes and no. While fine lines and wrinkles may return at some future point, blemishes and instances of hyperpigmentation are permanently destroyed. This does not mean, however, that those blemishes won’t one day return. IPL treatments and laser skin rejuvenation can’t stop the aging process, but both can improve the appearance of age- and sun-related damage for weeks and months beyond your final appointment.
Not in most circumstances. Many patients describe the sensation as being somewhat similar to having a rubber band snapped atop your skin. In both cases, a cooling gel may be applied to lessen the sensation of heat. Patients may notice some redness or darkening of blemishes in the days that follow each treatment, but these effects usually fade away as the body takes over the healing process.
Laser skin rejuvenation treatments can absolutely help with both acne and rosacea. In the case of acne, dead skin cells, oils, and bacteria gather in pores and follicles, causing painful outbreaks. By clearing these toxins away, laser treatments can lessen painful outbreaks.
In the case of rosacea, laser treatments target the small veins in our face that are responsible for a flushed or reddish appearance. Once these veins are shut down, patients should notice a reduction in the appearance of their rosacea symptoms.
