BOTOX®
Of all the cosmetic treatments, products, and latest trends, BOTOX® needs no introduction. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, over 4.4 million BOTOX® injections were performed in 2020 alone—roughly 1.4 million people more than the entire population of Arkansas. The popularity of BOTOX® cannot be overstated. As an immediately effective boost to fine lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet, and so much more, BOTOX® is skyrocketing simply because it works and works well.
At Paragould Plastic Surgery & Dermatology, we’re proud to be a part of the cosmetic revolution by offering BOTOX®. By relaxing the facial muscles responsible for common lines and wrinkles, BOTOX® not only smooths the skin directly after injection, it also builds in effectiveness over time, compounding the already remarkable results. Get in on the action with a BOTOX® appointment at Paragould Plastic today.
Who’s eligible?
Nearly every healthy adult is eligible for BOTOX® injections. If you have moderate/severe facial wrinkles, are in generally good health, and have realistic goals in mind for your BOTOX® treatment, then you’re a candidate. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should abstain from BOTOX® treatments, as should anyone with a severe infection or illness. Those who have ALS should also avoid BOTOX®.

BOTOX® FAQ
BOTOX® is shorthand for botulinum toxin—a protein produced by bacteria. Though the thought of a “toxin” injection might alarm you, when used in small doses (such as in targeted injections), the substance is widely harmless. BOTOX® generally performs as expected without severe (or even mild) side effects.
In general, the benefits of BOTOX® will persist for 3-6 months. Some patients may experience diminishing returns from the first injection with better, longer-lasting results from the second and third injections. BOTOX® works best over time and can even train the muscles responsible for wrinkles to relax independently.
Most BOTOX® patients describe the sensation as being similar to most other injections. You may feel a slight pinch at the injection site, but beyond the minimal discomfort of the injection itself, BOTOX® appointments are comfortable, speedy, and over in a flash.
